Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
  

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and Sugars

  • Beat butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla

  • Add eggs one at a time. Mix well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.

Combine Mixtures

  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture. Mix until just combined.

Add Chocolate Chips

  • Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.

Scoop Dough

  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets. Leave space between cookies.

Bake

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden brown.

Cool

  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack.
