Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar optional for sweet crepes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Prepare Batter

  • In a bowl, whisk flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar and salt until smooth and lump-free.

Rest Batter

  • Let the batter rest for 10–15 minutes. This helps create soft and flexible crepes.

Heat Pan

  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil.

Pour Batter

  • Pour a small amount of batter into the pan. Swirl quickly to form a thin layer.

Cook First Side

  • Cook for 1–2 minutes until edges lift and bottom turns light golden.

Flip Crepe

  • Flip carefully using a spatula. Cook the other side for 30–60 seconds.

Repeat Process

  • Repeat with remaining batter. Stack cooked crepes on a plate.

Fill and Serve

  • Fill with fruits, chocolate, cream or savory fillings. Fold and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use a blender for extra smooth batter
  • Add vanilla extract for sweet crepes
  • Use whole wheat flour for a healthier option
  • Add herbs and cheese for savory crepes
  • Keep crepes warm in a low oven
  • Use a crepe pan for best results
  • Do not overfill to prevent tearing
