Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Dry Rub:

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking tray with foil and place a wire rack on top.

Prepare Wings

  • Pat chicken wings dry using paper towels. This helps them become crispy during cooking.

Add Oil

  • Place wings in a bowl and toss with olive oil. This helps the seasoning stick well.

Mix Dry Rub

  • In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cayenne, salt, pepper and sugar.

Season Wings

  • Sprinkle the dry rub over the wings. Toss well until all wings are evenly coated.

Arrange on Tray

  • Place wings on the rack in a single layer. Leave space between them for even cooking.

Bake the Wings

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes. Flip halfway through to ensure even crispiness.

Check Crispiness

  • Wings should be golden brown and crispy. Cook a few extra minutes if needed.

Rest Before Serving

  • Let wings rest for 5 minutes. This keeps them juicy inside.

Serve Hot

  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy as is.

Notes

  • Use baking powder for extra crispiness
  • Grill wings for smoky flavor
  • Adjust cayenne for spice level
  • Add smoked paprika for deeper taste
  • Marinate wings overnight for stronger flavor
  • Serve with ranch or blue cheese dip
