Ingredients

  • 4 halibut fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Grill

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Clean and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

Prepare Fish

  • Pat halibut fillets dry with paper towels. This helps get a good sear on the grill.

Season the Fish

  • Brush fillets with olive oil. Sprinkle salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder evenly.

Place on Grill

  • Place the fillets on the grill. Cook for 4–5 minutes without moving them.

Flip Carefully

  • Use tongs to flip the fish gently. Cook another 4–5 minutes until flaky.

Add Lemon Juice

  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fish while still on the grill.

Check Doneness

  • Fish should be opaque and flake easily with a fork when fully cooked.

Remove from Grill

  • Take the fillets off the grill and place them on a serving plate.

Garnish

  • Sprinkle fresh parsley on top for color and flavor.

Serve Hot

  • Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Use fresh halibut for best taste
  • Do not overcook to avoid dryness
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy kick
  • Use lime instead of lemon for variation
  • Marinate fish for 15 minutes for deeper flavor
  • Grill on foil if fish sticks easily
