Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 250 g ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Peppers

  • Cut the tops off the bell peppers. Remove seeds and inside parts. Rinse well and keep them ready for stuffing.

Cook the Filling

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and garlic. Cook until soft. Add ground beef and cook until browned fully.

Add Rice and Sauce

  • Add cooked rice and tomato sauce into the pan. Mix everything well until combined and slightly thick in texture.

Season the Mixture

  • Add salt, pepper, paprika and oregano. Stir well. Let it cook for a few minutes so flavors blend nicely together.

Stuff the Peppers

  • Fill each pepper with the prepared mixture. Press gently so the filling stays packed inside and holds shape.

Add Cheese on Top

  • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of each stuffed pepper. This adds a creamy and delicious finish after baking.

Arrange in Baking Dish

  • Place all stuffed peppers in a baking dish. Add a little water at the bottom to keep them moist.

Cover and Bake

  • Cover the dish with foil. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes until peppers become soft.

Final Bake Without Cover

  • Remove foil and bake for 10 more minutes. This melts cheese and gives a nice golden color on top.

Garnish and Serve

  • Take peppers out carefully. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top. Serve hot and enjoy this delicious homemade meal.

Notes

  • Use ground chicken or turkey instead of beef for a lighter option
  • Add chili flakes if you like spicy food
  • Use brown rice for a healthier version
  • Mix vegetables like carrots or corn for extra nutrition
  • Try mozzarella or cheddar cheese for different taste
  • Do not overcook peppers or they become too soft
  • Add a little lemon juice for fresh flavor
