Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter soft
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Extra sugar for rolling

Instructions
  

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg in a bowl. Mix until well combined.

Cream Butter and Sugar

  • Beat butter and sugar until light, fluffy and smooth in texture.

Add Egg and Flavor

  • Add egg, vanilla and eggnog. Mix until creamy and fully blended.

Combine Mixtures

  • Slowly add dry ingredients into wet mixture. Mix gently until soft dough forms.

Chill the Dough

  • Cover the bowl and chill dough for 20 minutes for easy shaping.

Preheat Oven

  • Heat oven to 180°C. Line baking tray with parchment paper.

Shape Cookies

  • Scoop dough and roll into balls. Roll each ball in sugar lightly.

Place on Tray

  • Place dough balls on tray. Leave space between each cookie.

Bake Cookies

  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Edges should look set and soft.
