Ingredients

  • 8 ounces linguine pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken diced or sliced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Linguine

  • Boil pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water to adjust sauce consistency.

Cook the Chicken

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and Cajun seasoning. Cook 5–7 minutes until golden and fully cooked.

Add Butter and Garlic

  • Add butter to the skillet. Stir in minced garlic. Cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant without burning.

Add Heavy Cream

  • Pour heavy cream into the skillet. Stir continuously to create a creamy, smooth base for the sauce.

Melt the Mozzarella

  • Reduce heat to low. Add shredded mozzarella gradually. Stir until cheese melts and sauce becomes silky.

Add Parmesan Cheese

  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese into the sauce. Stir until fully incorporated for extra flavor and thickness.

Combine Pasta and Sauce

  • Add cooked linguine to the skillet. Toss gently to coat all pasta in the creamy garlic mozzarella sauce.

Adjust Seasoning

  • Taste the pasta. Add salt, pepper or more Cajun seasoning if needed to enhance flavor.

Add Pasta Water if Needed

  • If sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually to reach desired consistency.

Garnish and Serve

  • Transfer pasta to a serving dish. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top for color. Serve immediately while warm.

Optional Additions

  • Add sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers or spinach to make the dish heartier. Extra cheese can be added for indulgence.

Notes

  • Chicken Options: Rotisserie chicken works perfectly for a quick version.
  • Cheese Variations: Use provolone or a blend of mozzarella and cheddar for a richer flavor.
  • Spicy Twist: Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for more heat.
  • Vegetables: Broccoli, zucchini, or spinach can be added for a nutritious boost.
  • Make Ahead: Cook chicken and pasta separately, combine with sauce before serving.
  • Leftovers: Reheat gently in a skillet to prevent sauce from separating.
