Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
  

Prepare the Green Beans

  • Wash the green beans under cold water. Trim the ends with a knife. Dry them well using a clean kitchen towel.

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F or 220°C. High heat helps the beans roast quickly and become crispy and golden.

Season the Beans

  • Place green beans in a large bowl. Add olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika.

Toss Everything Well

  • Mix the beans well with the seasoning. Make sure each bean is lightly coated with oil and spices.

Arrange on Baking Sheet

  • Place the beans in a single layer on a baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the pan. Space helps them cook evenly.

Roast the Beans

  • Put the tray in the oven. Roast for about 12 minutes. Halfway through cooking, gently flip the beans.

Add Parmesan Cheese

  • Remove the tray briefly. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the green beans for cheesy flavor.

Roast Again

  • Return the tray to the oven. Roast for another 3 minutes until cheese melts and edges become crispy.

Add Lemon Juice

  • Remove the beans from the oven. Drizzle fresh lemon juice for brightness and flavor.

Garnish and Serve

  • Sprinkle chopped parsley on top. Serve immediately while the beans are hot and crispy.

  • Use fresh green beans for the best crispy texture. Frozen beans release water and may become soft.
