Ingredients

For the Pasta and Chicken

  • 300 g fettuccine pasta
  • 2 chicken breasts cut into strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Alfredo Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Cook Pasta

  • Boil water in a pot. Add salt. Cook fettuccine until al dente, then drain and set aside.

Season Chicken

  • Season chicken strips with salt and black pepper on both sides evenly.

Cook Chicken

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet. Cook chicken over medium heat until golden and fully cooked.

Prepare Sauce Base

  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until it is soft and foamy.

Add Garlic

  • Add minced garlic to butter. Sauté for one minute until fragrant but not burnt.

Add Cream

  • Pour heavy cream into pan. Stir constantly to combine with butter and garlic.

Add Cheese

  • Add grated Parmesan slowly while stirring. Mix until cheese melts and sauce is smooth.

Season Sauce

  • Add salt, black pepper and Italian seasoning. Stir well for balanced flavor.

Combine Pasta

  • Add cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to coat pasta evenly.

Add Chicken

  • Place cooked chicken strips on top of pasta. Mix lightly to combine flavors.

Adjust Thickness

  • If sauce is too thick, add a little pasta water. Stir until smooth and creamy.

Taste Test

  • Taste pasta. Add more salt or pepper if needed for flavor balance.

Garnish

  • Sprinkle fresh parsley over pasta for color and aroma.

Serve Warm

  • Plate pasta immediately while hot. Serve with extra Parmesan on side if desired.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best taste.
  • Cook chicken separately to keep it juicy.
  • Add mushrooms or broccoli for more vegetables.
  • Use half-and-half cream for lighter sauce.
  • Add red pepper flakes for mild heat.
  • Use fettuccine or linguine; penne works too.
  • Add lemon zest for bright flavor.
  • Substitute chicken with shrimp for seafood Alfredo.
  • Use gluten-free pasta if needed.
  • Reheat gently to avoid sauce separating.
