Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups uncooked long grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups cooked chicken chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup frozen peas or vegetables optional

Instructions
  

Preheat the Oven

  • Heat oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish lightly with butter or oil.

Add the Rice

  • Spread uncooked rice evenly in the baking dish.

Add Liquids

  • Pour chicken broth, milk and cream soup over the rice evenly.

Mix Gently

  • Stir gently until rice and liquids are well combined.

Add Chicken

  • Add chopped cooked chicken evenly over the rice mixture.

Add Seasoning

  • Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and paprika evenly on top.

Add Butter

  • Place small butter pieces on top for extra creaminess.

Add Vegetables

  • Add frozen vegetables if using. Spread them evenly.

Cover the Dish

  • Cover tightly with aluminum foil to trap steam.

Bake

  • Bake for 45 minutes until rice is soft and liquid is absorbed.

Add Cheese

  • Remove foil. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.

Final Bake

  • Bake uncovered for 5 minutes until cheese melts.

Rest the Dish

  • Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
