Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 12 oz sausage sliced (chicken, turkey, or beef)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the oven

  • Set oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleaning.

Prepare sweet potatoes

  • Peel and cube sweet potatoes. Place them in a large bowl for seasoning.

Season sweet potatoes

  • Add olive oil, salt, pepper and paprika. Toss until all cubes are coated well.

Prepare sausage

  • Slice sausage into thick rounds. Add them to the bowl with sweet potatoes. Mix gently.

Make honey garlic sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic and lemon juice until smooth.

Coat everything

  • Pour honey garlic sauce over sweet potatoes and sausage. Toss until evenly coated.

Spread on tray

  • Spread mixture evenly on baking sheet. Keep space between pieces for proper roasting.

Roast in oven

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes. Flip halfway for even cooking and golden color.

Check doneness

  • Sweet potatoes should be soft. Sausage should be golden and juicy.

Garnish and serve

  • Sprinkle fresh parsley on top. Serve warm for best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Use spicy sausage for extra heat.
  • Add onions and bell peppers for more flavor.
  • Use maple syrup instead of honey for a twist.
  • Add cinnamon for warm sweetness.
  • Make it spicy with hot sauce or chili paste.
  • Use air fryer instead of oven for faster cooking.
  • Add broccoli or green beans for more veggies.
