Ingredients
  

  • 4 –6 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Optional: fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish

Instructions
  

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet or ovenproof dish lined with foil.

Prepare the Marinade

  • In a large bowl, combine harissa paste, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, pepper and lemon juice.

Coat the Chicken

  • Add chicken thighs to the marinade. Turn each piece to coat evenly. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.

Arrange Chicken

  • Place marinated chicken thighs on the prepared baking sheet skin-side up. Ensure space between each piece.

Bake the Chicken

  • Bake in preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, until skin is golden and chicken reaches internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Broil for Extra Crisp

  • Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes to crisp the skin further. Watch carefully to avoid burning.

Rest the Chicken

  • Remove from oven and let chicken rest for 5 minutes to retain juices.

Garnish

  • Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley or cilantro on top for a fresh finish.

Serve Hot
