- 1 pound ground beef turkey, or plant-based protein
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 green bell pepper diced
- 1 red bell pepper diced
- 1 can 14 oz diced tomatoes
- 1 can 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese sour cream, chopped green onions, cilantro
Add Spices
Stir in chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
