Ingredients
  

  • 500 g beef stew meat or sirloin tips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon flour or cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water for slurry
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Prepare the beef

  • Cut beef into small bite-sized pieces. Pat dry with paper towel to help it brown nicely.

Brown the beef

  • Heat oil in a skillet. Add beef and cook until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.

Cook the onion

  • In the same pan, add chopped onion. Cook until soft and slightly golden for better flavor.

Add garlic

  • Add minced garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant. Do not burn it.

Add liquids

  • Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce. Stir well to combine everything.

Add seasonings

  • Add salt, pepper and paprika. Mix well to build a rich and tasty base.

Simmer the beef

  • Return beef to the pan. Cover and cook on low heat for about 1 hour until tender.

Thicken the gravy

  • Mix flour with water. Add to the pan and stir until gravy thickens to your liking.

Serve and garnish

  • Serve hot and garnish with fresh parsley. Enjoy tender beef with rich gravy.
