Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For Filling:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pecans chopped

Instructions
  

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking pan with parchment paper.

Make the Crust

  • Mix butter, sugar, flour and salt. Stir until crumbly dough forms.

Press into Pan

  • Press dough evenly into baking pan. Make a smooth and even layer.

Bake the Crust

  • Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden. Remove and let it cool slightly.

Prepare Filling

  • In a saucepan, melt butter. Add brown sugar, honey and cream. Stir until smooth.

Cook Filling

  • Simmer mixture for 2–3 minutes. It should become slightly thick and glossy.

Add Pecans

Pour Over Crust

  • Spread pecan mixture over baked crust. Smooth evenly with a spatula.

Bake Again

  • Return to oven and bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
