Ingredients
  

  • 1 bunch asparagus trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
  

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line baking tray with parchment paper.

Prepare Asparagus

  • Wash and trim asparagus. Pat dry with paper towel to remove excess moisture.

Mix Coating

  • In bowl, combine panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt and black pepper. Mix well.

Toss with Olive Oil

  • Drizzle asparagus with olive oil. Toss to coat evenly.

Coat Asparagus

  • Roll each asparagus spear in the breadcrumb mixture. Press gently to stick coating.

Arrange on Tray

  • Place coated asparagus in single layer on tray. Do not overcrowd.

Bake Fries

  • Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and crispy. Turn halfway through for even cooking.

Optional Air Fry

  • Air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 8–10 minutes for extra crispiness.

Serve Hot

  • Serve immediately with lemon wedges or your favorite dipping sauce.

  • Use fresh, firm asparagus for best texture.
  • Add crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Sprinkle extra Parmesan before serving for more flavor.
