  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese optional for extra creaminess

Instructions

Prepare corn

  • If using fresh corn, cut kernels from the cob. If frozen, thaw it completely before cooking.

Melt butter

  • Heat butter in a saucepan over medium heat until fully melted and slightly bubbly.

Add corn

  • Add corn kernels to the pan. Cook for 5–7 minutes until soft and warm.

Add flour

  • Sprinkle flour over corn. Stir well to coat and slightly thicken the mixture.

Add milk and cream

  • Pour in milk and heavy cream slowly. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.

Season mixture

  • Add salt, pepper and sugar. Mix well so all flavors blend evenly.

Simmer corn

  • Reduce heat and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes until thick and creamy.

Add cream cheese

  • Stir in cream cheese if using. This makes the dish extra rich and smooth.

Final mix

  • Stir everything well until creamy texture forms. Adjust seasoning if needed.

Serve hot

  • Remove from heat and serve warm as a delicious side dish.

Notes

  • Use fresh corn for best sweetness.

  • Add garlic for savory taste.
  • Use coconut milk for dairy-free version.
