Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring pastel colors
  • ½ cup powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions
  

Mix dry ingredients

  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.

Cream butter and sugar

  • Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add egg and vanilla

  • Mix in egg and vanilla extract.

Combine mixtures

  • Add dry ingredients into wet mixture and mix gently.

Add colors

  • Divide dough into portions and mix different food colors.

Chill dough

  • Refrigerate dough for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven

  • Set oven to 180°C and line a baking tray.

Shape cookies

  • Roll dough into small balls and coat in powdered sugar.
